Testament Tuesday – God’s Will
God’s will for our lives is both easy to find yet hard to discern. It can sometimes be seen immediately, or it may take years (if ever) to figure it out. It also can be very frustrating and discouraging at times while giving peace and comfort during others.
But there’s one thing we know for sure when it comes to the will of God… we know without a doubt that God’s will is always right. It’s always there. It’s always amazing. When we feel like we’re waiting for answers we can always find them in His word. He speaks to us through His word (whether that’s reading the Bible, a sermon, or a worship song). Everything we need for living a life that pleases God, and what He wants us to do with His will, is in His word.
God also speaks to us through our own choices. We can clearly hear Him guiding us at times and it’s up to us to make the right choice, I mean after all we do still have free-will. It’s these times where we have to make difficult life choices where it is so important to be in-tune with His word. We must open our minds and hearts to hearing His word to fully understand His will for us.
Lastly, God speaks to us through every detail of our lives. Do you think anything in your life is by accident? Not a chance. We are here for a very specific reason; we are enduring these days for a purpose and what we do with these days matters greatly. It’s time to look into our lives and see if we are really listening and obeying God’s true will for us. Think about the moments and events that have led us to this very moment and see how far we’ve come.
All of the good things in our lives are not by chance. Just as the trials and hard times weren’t either. Take the focus off yourself and lean into God by reading His word, hearing His word, praying, and praising Him. God wants to direct us through the details of our lives, we just need to give Him the chance to.
Remember this today:
· God’s plan is always perfect
· Ask for God’s guidance when making plans
· Circumstances might be out of our control, but how we respond to them is not
· When God leads, follow Him
