What’s Cookin’ Wednesday – Juicing
Juicing is a super easy way to sneak in additional servings of fruit and vegetables for people who struggle to eat the suggested amounts. Not only is it an easy way to get more fruits/vegetables, it’s a great way to boost antioxidants in the body! I don’t personally recommend substituting a meal with juice though. I personally make 5 days’ worth of juice and drink it in the morning 30-60 minutes before I eat breakfast. I store mine in airtight mason jars to keep it as fresh as possible.
There is limited research to back if juicing can boost fertility, but there are several studies that show how increasing your vegetable intake can decrease chances of infertility. Other fertility health benefits to juicing or adding extra servings of vegetables to your diet include:
Balancing hormones
Cleansing the liver
Hydrating the body
Here are two of my go-to juicing recipes and a link for the juicer I use. I have adapted them to my personal tastes as I want to be able to enjoy it!
