What’s Cookin’ Wednesday – Protein Bites
Our house is all about after dinner snacks and sometimes that leads to eating straight junk. So it was so nice to find these healthy protein bites to satisfy our sweet tooth post dinner without derailing our whole day! We use Shakeology protein powder (linked here) for ours but you can use whatever protein powder you have! I know that these two brands are favorites with my fellow plant-based friends too! Ingredients:
-2 scoops of vanilla or chocolate protein powder
-1/2 cup honey
-1 cup creamy peanut butter
-3 tablespoons dark chocolate chips
-*Optional to add 1 cup of dry oats for some additional substance*
Directions:
-Mix all of the above ingredients together in a medium sized bowl until the powder and oatmeal is no longer dry
-If you decide to add oatmeal you might have to add a splash or two of almond milk to help mix the ingredients better
-Roll into small bite-sized bites and refrigerate
-Usually makes about 15-20 small bites
